MOTION4 at BAU 2017 in Munich
MOTION4 has been present as exhibitors at the recent BAU2017 exhibition, that took place from the 16th till the 21st of January in the city of Munich, Germany. BAU 2017 is one of the main construction exhibitions, focusing on doors, windows and automation systems.
It has been a great exhibition, where we had the opportunity to meet visitors coming from more than 30 countries.
During these 6 days, visitors could see and learn all about automatic doors with the exclusive “Magnetic Linear Motor Technology” developed by MOTION4 , the next BIG thing in door automation.
At the show we introduced the EvoDrive automatic sliding door operator for interiors, that with only 60 x 65 mm sets a milestone in the automatic door industry.
Visitors coming to our stand could also see for first time, the new Bi-parting door version, consisting of 2 EvoDrive single sliding doors meeting at the centre, with the two leaves fully synchronized electronically. No belts, no pulleys, no dragging arms… Only 2 door leaves with their control panels interconnected to move fully synchronized, including the “Push & Go” function and the stop/reverse function on an obstruction. The result is a smooth and silent movement due to the reduction on the number of mechanical elements, when compared with traditional automatic doors. In addition, this will allow us building double leaf doors with different dimensions, to take better profit of the existing opening.
Also at the show, we introduced a “Wireless push button” to activate the door. This push button is powered by a battery that will last 2 years, and can be replaced easily by simply pulling out the button. A small led will blink to inform the end user that the battery needs replacement before it goes flat. The push button can be fixed to the surface of the glass door leaf, or to the wall or fixed leaf. Just fix it, and forget about cables!! This will help installers reducing wiring and installation times, and avoid the necessity of making holes on the wall to pass the cables through.
In the “Technical corner”, we showed visitors everything about magnetic linear motors, this new technology that is revolutionizing the automatic door industry. And last but not least, we showed all the models and versions of sliding door operators that we have released since our creation in 2008: Mini, Linea, EvoDrive and the coming Premium operator
A big THANKS to all visitors who came to our stand. We hope to see you again soon in future exhibitions!
